This is the ultimate day out for active travelers who want to experience many different forms of transport and cover a lot of territory. Traveling by mountain bike, boat, e-bike, and horse cart, this itinerary is best suited for those who don’t tire easily and love to break a sweat on their holidays and get away from the tourists!

Three Treasures were always flexible to go with the flow where possible – to make sure the best time was had and to allow for the experience.

Sample itinerary:

Day 1

05:30: Pickup from hotel your hotel
06:00-7:30: Guided mountain bike tour outside Bagan monument zone, along irrigation canals and through remote villages rarely in contact with foreigners. Watch the balloons fly overhead as we dart among the pagodas and greet farmers on the way to their fields.
07:30-08:30: Breakfast at hotel OR al fresco light breakfast of local pastries, fruit, and fresh coffee/tea at our “home” pagoda or local tea shop.
08:30-11:00: Continue mtb tour of sites within monument zone.
11:00-12:00: Visit local village, organic permaculture farm project, and school built from recycled materials.
12:00-13:00: Fresh Myanmar-style farmer’s lunch served at our organic permaculture farm. 
13:00-15:00: Relax time! Rest in a hammock among the trees, listen to tropical birds in the trees, observe local activities.
15:00-16:00: Return to hotel to freshen up for sunset
16:00-17:00: Visit ancient ruins for photos in the late afternoon, fantastic photo opportunities with any camera or smartphone!
17:30-18:30: Sunset viewing from secluded site within the Bagan monument zone.
19:00: Return to your hotel

Day 2:

05:30: Pickup from hotel your hotel by taxi, horse cart, or e-bike.
06:00-7:30: Sunrise balloon viewing from secluded site.
07:30-08:30: Breakfast at hotel OR al fresco light breakfast of local pastries, fruit, and fresh coffee/tea at our “home” pagoda or local tea shop.
08:30-11:00: Walking tour of rural farming and crafting village. Visit unique family workshop producing bamboo lacquerware crafts, each painstakingly handmade using a 3-12 month traditional process and natural materials.
11:00-12:00: Journey by boat to remote village location on the Irrawaddy.

12:00:13:30: Lunch of grilled fish and vegetables in riverside mango grove.
13:30:17:00: Visit remote sites and areas on foot, including many not listed on any map or guidebook. Amazing murals and panoramic views, visit to magical cave and cliff monastery that is still actively used by monks. Fantastic photo opportunities.
17:00-18:30: Return to Old Bagan by private sunset cruise, including cold drinks and fresh fruit. Alcoholic beverages and western apero available on board by request.
18:30-19:00: Return journey to your hotel by horse cart, ebike, or taxi
